Ugh. Him and his kind were at it again today for all the major Anzac Day
celebrations.
People are rightly BOOing the addition of a fake indigenous Welcome To Country
to the traditional war memorial service. One cunt responded to the booing by
saying "This always was and always will be Aboriginal land." FFS that
was pathetic.
Booing has no place at a war memorial service but neither does a phoney
aboriginal ceremony.
Get rid of the politically correct bullshit and the booing will go away.
Remember some people in attendance have been to 60 or more Anzac Day services
and never had to listen to a Black cunt welcome them to their own country
before.

WTF? Maybe it was inappropriate, maybe it wasn't, but you sure bitch a lot
about immigrants for being the result of immigration yourself and now you bitch
about the indigenous people. Do you not know the definition of indigenous? How
about I come over there to your house, kill a bunch of your grandparent's
generation, force the rest of you into one little room or out into the yard, and
take over your whole house. Now shut the fuck up about how unfair that is, you
heathen, you can talk when I say you can talk. How 'bout dat? It's the same
stupid shit here in the U.S., children of immigrants bitching about new
immigrants while having treated the actual indigenous people like shit for
centuries. Just what makes people of European descent so much better, is it
these with which they've murdered the people on the land they want and taken
over?

To a point I agree; I actually don't think it has a place. It doesn't offend
me, I'm mostly completely indifferent about it on the whole. But I don't see why
it needs to be done every time somebody farts. It's been overdone to the point I
actually think it's a bit meaningless. Like saying grace.
It's a ceremony that I'd never seen in my life which started to become a thing
in the 2010s. I actually support aboriginal rights, and respect the contribution
they've made to our armed forces etc over the years, so to that end they have
every right to be involved in an ANZAC service. But the welcome to country thing
I don't think has a place.
Leave it to multicultural round at the MCG or the opening of parliament.
However I also completely agree that booing has no place at an ANZAC
service. If you do something like that you should be sent straight to Gallipoli
to face a barrage of canon fire. So either shut the fuck up and deal with it,
you know it's going to be there; or don't go. Don't be a cunt.
[
en.wikipedia.org]
And if you're the type of cunt who defaces an RSL on ANZAC day you should be
treated as a terrorist. "Kill the troops", "Death to the
ADF", "Fuck the ANZACs".. these should be taken and charged as
direct threats.

Well vandalism is the death penalty as far as I am concerned but we have been
over that.
Australian immigration is set at 195,000 with 80something% to be skilled. That
number is almost insignificant but we are up to 495,000 so far this financial
year so it does bother me but it's not affecting me much.
Indigenous activists bother me immensely and have a huge impact on my
professional life now that I work for a government agency and a large impact on
my personal life due to me residing in The Northern Territory.
I vent not to stir quasi's pot but because plus613 is one of the last free

When you kick a whole group of people around for long enough and then they're
finally recognized as being equal members of society it's going to result in
some of them being loud and inappropriate from the built up generational
grievances. Booing them for speaking up now that they finally have the
opportunity to speak just shows that they're still having to fight that fight
for real recognition and equality and it will not shut them up. It all boils
down to tribalism, and I'm not talking about the Aboriginal tribes, I'm talking
about everywhere, races, nationalities, sexual orientation, sports teams,
governments, economic levels, and, probably the worst, religions just to name a
few, Any way we can think of to divide ourselves up into groups and then clash
with another group is tribalism, a prehistoric social construct we haven't grown
out of while meanwhile through technology the planet has, in effect, grown
smaller as population has grown larger. Identifying with a group and being a
member is natural but this notion that one group is better than another so let's
fight about it is just primitive bullshit. Take your caveman shit somewhere
else, I'm sick of it. Hating an entire group because some of them do bad things
is crap. Hating a group because they do things that don't hurt anyone but you
don't agree with it is bigger crap. Don't be a damned caveman, fight that 2% or
3% of your DNA that's neanderthal. Don't be an ignorant brute. Or is that an
Australian thing? See how easy that was to dis a tribe.

qasi someone like you could not walk the streets in The Northern Territory
after dark. And if you did try it then you'd be thankful for that 3-4% that told
you when to run. They would probably still chase you down and stab you but with
that primal instinct head start you might just make it to safety.
We are talking about a sub human species here, who's Stone Age culture has
nothing to offer the civilised world. All the aboriginal people I have schooled
with and worked with are ashamed of the ferals and the activists. A welcome to
country lasts only a minute and often has few or no words. And very few
countries practice it. The activists have weaponised this and used it to lecture
current day Australians at all our sporting events and official government
ceremonies. Enough is enough.

I began with, "When you kick a whole group of people around for long
enough and then they're finally recognized as being equal members of society
it's going to result in some of them being loud and inappropriate from the built
up generational grievances." Inappropriateness also includes violence and
crime. This isn't an excuse, just what happens when a whole culture is treated
inhumanely, often violently, over centuries. Indigenous Americans fought wars
against the U.S. government, were nearly eradicated, and somehow eventually
became peaceful despite continuing to be treated as second class and often
forced to live as a community in some very inhospitable locations called
reservations. Some of them are getting wealthy by running casinos and winning
the money of the white folks dumb enough to gamble (something Trump couldn't
figure out to do, his casinos lost money, lol. Good businessman my ass). On the
other hand, the African American community which began here as slaves, as
property, taken from their own lands continue to be treated badly in many areas
and, though it's unhelpful and only reinforces prejudice against the community
as a whole (as it does in the case of your indigenous people), some have reacted
violently and, out of desperation because of lack of good jobs due to the
prejudice, turn to crime. That situation has improved, in part due to DEI, but
Trump & Co. are trying turn back the clock on that without understanding
what DEI really does, they only see it as being unfair to white people and, oh
look, are retaliating for perceived slights. Look at how you're reacting,
woberto, and given that propensity for anger and fear, how would you react if
you were a member of the culture you're now vilifying? Would you lash out? Would
you turn to crime to survive? The problem isn't empathy, it's the lack of
empathy and understanding how we got here thanks to assholes like this.

"fake news" is accurate when they tell the story that reinforces one's

First takeaway will be "how could that man be out on parole? Whitey let
down!" and that always circles back until they start demanding that more
people get parole sooner.
Second takeaway will be "how can they live like that" and that always
circles back until they start demanding more welfare money. Spending is
indicated here in the communist ABC news article.

Your first links to the Alice Springs incident stories were about useless, I'm
not subscribing to the New York Times and the other link had scant information.
Since then I've seen other reporting that has given me a clearer picture of
what's occurred.
Last things first. Apparently, you believe the poor living conditions are the
fault of the people living there and that giving them assistance is communism.
Perhaps it is socialism as are many government programs; many Americans see your
healthcare system as horrible socialism and are willing to go bankrupt over
medical bills to prove it, but what other economic opportunities exist to help
those communities? Do you not believe that "Town camps were created out of
necessity because of discriminatory policies and attitudes that prevented
Aboriginal people from entering Alice Springs. Many were denied the same rights
as other territorians, to freely move about, work and participate in social
activities." This compares to the inner city communities mostly populated
by black people in the U.S., the result of centuries of discrimination and
withheld opportunities that have resulted in a collapse of dignity and causing
despair that fosters just not giving a damn among many members of the community,
discrimination that still persists in many ways because some others see that
state of not giving a damn as being "just the way they are" without
acknowledging how that came to be or showing any willingness to help.
As far as the unrest and the vigilante "justice' sought by many members of
the town camps, here's a photo of the "monkeys" who carried out
thousands of lynchings of black people in the U.S., whether any crimes were
committed or not, often just for sport, in the years after the U.S. civil war
(1861-1865) right up into my lifetime. Their "values" are being echoed
in the highest offices of the U.S. today as part of the MAGA plan.

Having a lawn is a PITA but you'd better stay off it. Several years before my
mom died she bought the place door at a tax sale. The old couple that had lived
there moved back up north (that's a Florida thing), died, and the taxes hadn't
been paid for years. I had to put a fence in because the people next to it kept
using the lawn as a parking lot.
