I've been on a Lancaster. I spent a while in the tail gunners seat...not that I
was airforce. Boy, did that feel lonely. All a while ago now, just before they
were mostly scrapped.

Probably the worst job in the airforce, being a tail gunner. Boy, would you
feel exposed.
I seem to recall making one of these as a model when I was a kid. I think I
stuffed up the paint job rather badly.

The heaviest bomb load of anything in World War Two, misused and lost in large
numbers by Bomber Harris. The awesome Lancaster!
Pity it only had .303 machine guns.
