What did you expect? It's war of religion. That's been obvious since 2005. If you didn't expect this, here's a new word: history.

Yes, the Vatican has lost control of Ukraine, but it doesn't change the facts: in war of religion there is no mercy and there are no rules. Sometimes there are claims it's about competing ideas of mercy and rules, but a lot of people still get killed.

I've skimmed headlines and comments for over three years now and suggest there must be a simple explanation for a near uniform imbecility.

History is going to come kicking its way through the door in a violence that won't go away. Or be overtaken by events in about thirteen weeks.
