(*facepalm*)
That's gold.
But yes, protecting children is #1 in society.

Ahem. As one who has read english from as far back as the 1100's, I know that for centuries the spelling followed the local dialect. It still does in local use. For example, I used to know a Briton who said 'gel' for 'girl'. There wasn't an attempt at an English dictionary until the 1700's and that wasn't completed until the work was taken up by Mr Johnston. That century.

Before you make fun of this picture, hear a local say 'our' and does it sound like 'are'.

I know somebody who says "for all intensive purposes" too, and have a thick accent; doesn't mean they're right.

If you want to be 'right', you'll have to listen to the way King Charles and Queen Elizabeth's former ladies in waiting talk. Any time you want to put that audio up...

Find me a dictionary that lists "are" as an acceptable synonym for "our".

Find me a dictionary that lists "are" as an acceptable synonym for "our".

There isn't one, but if lexicography is your ultimate authority, why do you allow yank spelling on your site? All those mistakes!

Calm down? Why should we? Australians were especially selected by magistrates and we know it!

They were meant to be criminal cases but the Brits didn't put their best legal minds onto it. That's what went wrong from their point of view.

The evidence before the court is incontrovertible!
There's no need for the jury to retire!
In all my years of judging I have never seen before me
Someone more deserving of the full penalty of the law!

deserving of the full penalty of the law!

That's why they stayed in Britain.

The way you made them suffer, your exquisite wife and mother;
Fills me with the urge to defecate!
Since my friend you have revealed your deepest fear;
I sentence you to be exposed before your peers!

Tear down the wall!

I know more about Handel than Pink Floyd. In fact I know nothing of Pink Floyd.
