one windmill next to a coal burning plant VS hundreds of them covering hundreds
of acres in someplace like the Columbia River Gorge...yeah not the same.

Surprised they let Bill Bob's character speak the truth.
The world is healing.

I like the wind turbines.
Went for a nice ride through the turbine farm outside of Ballarat during covid
era.
As I mentioned on the pic though, shame the lighting came out badly but.. meh.
Whoyagonnacall?

Petroleum being used to build the new industry? Why yes, just like the Wright
Brothers ran a bicycle shop and took trains, Henry Ford rode horses and I assume
bicycles before he made the automobile practical for most people. Alexander
Grahm Bell used the mail and telegraph to communicate. Whatever the industrial
innovations have been, they needed the industries used before them to be created
and reach fruition. So, do we just use the oil for everything until it runs out,
let our grandkids deal with that, or perfect ways to lessen its use by
developing alternatives? Do we work on the betterment of infrastructure or just
say fuck it, let it fail? How did we get here? Like this [

I think the windmills look better and solar panels can be integrated into other
construction. Putting your head in the sand (along with the drill bits, I guess)
only kicks the can down the road.

Hydro schemes, where you dam a water flow and release it through turbines to
generate electricity, are far longer lasting and cheaper to run than solar cells
or wind turbines. The consideration should be cost-economics, where non-pumped
hydro wins outright, not appearance.
